I am Dr. Kavita Nair, a Consultant Dermatologist in Chennai with over 12 years in medical and cosmetic dermatology. I hold an MD in Dermatology from Madras Medical College and consult at Apollo Hospitals and at my own clinic in Nungambakkam.

Most skin, hair and nail problems are manageable once the cause is properly identified. My consultations are unhurried: I examine, explain what is going on in plain language, and agree a plan with you that fits your routine and budget.

FAQs

How do I book an appointment?

Choose an in-clinic or online consultation from the services on this page and pick a slot that suits you. You will get a confirmation straight away, and a reminder before the appointment.

What are your consultation timings?

Monday to Saturday, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The clinic is closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Do you offer online consultations?

Yes. Video consultations work well for acne, rashes, pigmentation, hair fall and for follow-ups. If your concern needs an in-person examination or a procedure, I will tell you during the call.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Previous prescriptions, any blood reports or biopsy results, and the skincare products and medicines you are currently using. Photos of how the problem looked earlier are also helpful.

How long does a consultation take?

An in-clinic consultation is 30 minutes and an online consultation is 20 minutes. Procedures such as peels or lasers are scheduled separately.

Can I reschedule or cancel?

Yes. You can reschedule free of charge up to 4 hours before your appointment.

Do you treat children?

Yes. I see infants, children and teenagers for eczema, birthmarks, warts, acne and other common childhood skin conditions.

Is a follow-up included?

Online consultations include a free follow-up window of 7 days for questions about the same concern. Later reviews are booked as a regular follow-up visit.
